Residential Sanitizing and Disinfecting Gives New Homeowners Confidence
November 17, 2020
Many of us are still recovering from the effects of the pandemic, which has been unlike anything we've seen before. Although much of the country is opening (with changes in the way we do everyday things), we're not out of the woods. COVID-19 hasn't gone away. Mask mandates, social distancing, distance learning, and an emphasis on cleaning, sanitizing, and disinfecting are all part of our daily lives. The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) recommends and supports these guidelines, along with other health organizations. The CDC has also set cleaning/disinfection guidelines specific to COVID-19. The guide discusses the particulars of cleaning and sanitizing your home, especially as it relates to homes that have possibly been exposed to COVID-19. The guide also discusses best practices for cleaning and sanitizing your home as a matter of routine. Germinator's Residential Sanitizing and Disinfecting
services are an ideal way for homeowners to add an extra layer of protection to their homes.
Tara Levere, the owner of Germinator Pittsburgh, says, "I strongly believe in bringing the most advanced scientific and technologically advanced solutions to all members of society. Additionally, as a mother of two young children, and with a husband who works as a registered nurse in downtown Pittsburgh, ensuring a hygienic environment is paramount to me. Germinator Mobile Sanitizing and Disinfecting was the perfect match! The process has created a clean and comfortable home and work environment for my family, and I look forward to sharing these benefits."
Germinator Mobile Sanitizing & Disinfecting is a professional, cost-effective way to help reduce the threat of germs and bacteria. At Germinator Pittsburgh, we've helped many residential customers during these trying times. We bring the same high-quality sanitizing and disinfecting services to homeowners as we do to commercial clients. Our patent-pending process and our professional staff make us the right choice for your sanitizing and disinfecting needs. Here's why:
Germinator's Patent-Pending Process
Step 1 – Test Surfaces:
We first test your surfaces for ATP using a luminometer to detect light that can come from cellular activity. This measurement immediately tells us the level of clean on your surfaces.
Step 2 – Application of Genesis Surface Treatment:
Genesis is a one-step cleaner and broad-spectrum sanitizer and disinfectant treatment that harnesses the power of HOCl (hypochlorous acid) solution. Derived from naturally occurring minerals, Genesis not only eliminates odors at their source, but kills a wide range of bacteria, including Staphylococcus aureus
, MRSA, Salmonella enterica
and Pseudomonas aeruginosa
, and viruses including norovirus, rotavirus, and adenovirus on hard, non-porous, environmental surfaces. It meets the Association of Official Agricultural Chemists (AOAC) germicidal spray standards for Hospital Grade Disinfection and is on the EPA N List of products determined to meet the criteria for use against SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19. As a result, this treatment will eliminate bacteria and viruses that may reside in your environment without the use of harsh chemicals or fumes.
Step 3 – Application of Bacteriostatic Finish:
Shield is a water-based quaternary ammonium compound that imparts a durable bacteriostatic finish to a wide range of non-food contact surfaces. It is EPA-registered as effective against mold, mildew, algae, and odor-causing bacteria. This application creates an invisible barrier that combats deterioration and discoloration and promotes freshness for up to three months.
The Genesis and Shield products are applied by using an electrostatic sprayer, which is the most efficient and effective means of delivering the products to the intended application sites.
Step 4 – Retest Surfaces:
After our surface treatment and protectant services, we retest to ensure the surfaces have achieved the intended results.
We've also seen an increase in the number of residential customers who have requested the services of Germinator Pittsburgh. There are many reasons residential customers contact us. We've seen cases where someone in the house had COVID-19 and the homeowners wanted to sanitize and disinfect. We've also been called to apply our patent-pending process to apartments and new homes.
One customer, Andrea, called us after her family purchased a new home. She wanted to ensure their new home was clean and hygienic before the family moved in. One of the main reasons for her extra concern is that she has a toddler who is at high risk. Andrea reached out to Germinator to help her achieve this goal. Our Germinator team in Pittsburgh went to the home and performed our surface disinfecting services. Upon completion of our services, we tested the surfaces to ensure the intended results were achieved. Our post-service testing produced great results, and our team was more than happy to hand over a clean and hygienic home to Andrea and her family to move in to. It's stories like this one that make us love what we do. The ability to give a family peace of mind is uplifting and makes what we do at Germinator so satisfying.
